Adult Outpatient Clinic

Adult Outpatient Teams consist of clinicians and clinical associates working together to provide comprehensive behavioral healthcare services to adults who experience mental health challenges or life stressors. Services include comprehensive community-based mental health services and level one co-occurring substance abuse services.  Medication management is available through our Medical Services team. All services are designed to assist consumers in their goals of recovery.

ACMHS/FCMHS has an assessment process for adults designed to assure that each consumer receives the services necessary to meet their individual behavioral health care needs. While no referral is necessary, we frequently serve clients referred from primary care providers, hospitals, community health centers, and the court system.

Clinical Services- Clinicians provide a wide range of psychotherapy for mental health needs, including grief and loss, addictions, relationships, trauma, and serious mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, PTSD and severe depression.  We use a variety of approaches including motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral type therapy.

Groups offered rotate based on client needs but may include:

  • Moral Reconation Therapy
  • Illness Management Recovery
  • Seeking Safety
  • CBT-I for insomnia
  • Co-occurring substance and mental illness

Case Management – Case Management is offered only in conjunction with therapeutic services. Clinical Associates operate on a ‘strengths based’ approach focusing on ensuring basic needs are met, life-skill building and linking consumers to services and community supports that enhance recovery. Examples of basic needs are housing, clothing, food and health care.  Case Managers encourage independence, community tenure and involvement in meaningful activities, especially employment.
